July was filled with artistic energy, hands-on experimentation, and major career milestones across our campus. From students presenting industry-ready creative portfolios to hosting top recruitment partners and welcoming our newest cohorts, the month stood out for its academic rigor and creative spirit. Here is a recap of the key JD School of Design July highlights that marked this exciting month.
Shaping Visual Stories: Graphic Design Portfolio Jury & Display

Students pursuing the Diploma in Graphic Design recently presented their end-of-term projects before an expert panel. Stepping into the exhibition hall felt like entering a showcase of modern brand identity and editorial style.
Participants enrolled in our graphic design course and visual communication course displayed complete visual branding schemes, advertising concepts, and publication layouts. Beyond aesthetic appeal, the jury evaluated the strategic reasoning behind each student’s graphic design portfolio, testing their capacity to resolve real-world branding challenges.
From Concept to Precision: Interior Design Drafting Module Display

Creative vision meets structural accuracy in the realm of spatial planning. Students in our Diploma in Interior Design put their technical skills on display during their module-end exhibition centered on spatial planning and drafting.
The showcase highlighted spatial balance, precise structural documentation, and scale accuracy. Learners taking this interior design course demonstrated solid command over line hierarchies, floor plans, section cuts, and custom interior detailing—proving that mastering architectural drafting is vital for translating conceptual ideas into buildable spaces.
Tactile Creativity: Punch Needle Embroidery & Craft Workshops

Throughout July, students engaged in interactive design sessions to explore material textures and form generation:
- Punch Needle Embroidery Workshop: Learners experimented with tactile fiber art, converting yarn into rich, dimensional patterns through traditional punch needle embroidery and specialized textile craft techniques.
- Origami Cube & Lamp Making: Students across B.Des Fashion Design, interior spatial streams, and visual communication created custom paper sculptures. Hands-on activities like modular cube paper folding helped students grasp geometric balance, 3D form building, and structural stability.
Launching Professional Careers: Campus Recruitment Drive

Connecting academic growth with industry success, the Department of Fashion held an intensive campus recruitment initiative. Prominent fashion and retail brands—including Arvind, The Bear House, and Threads and Textures—visited the institute to critique portfolios and conduct graduate interviews.
This drive opened immediate pathways for competitive fashion design jobs, helping young talent kickstart a thriving fashion designer career. Ranging from refined haute couture collections to commercial apparel lines, every candidate showed the industry readiness expected of a modern fashion designer.
Welcoming the Future: Orientation Days for July Batches

July also marked a new beginning for hundreds of incoming design enthusiasts, welcoming fresh batches across undergraduate, master’s, and diploma pathways.
Orientation events greeted learners entering advanced degrees like MSc Fashion Design, MSc Interior Design, and the MBA in Fashion Management, along with foundational programs like the Diploma in Fashion Design, setting a positive tone for their academic journey.
Looking Ahead
These JD School of Design July highlights reflect the rich diversity of campus life—from technical precision and material exploration to corporate placements and new academic cohorts. We look forward to guiding our new talent as they build their creative careers!
