The Library and Resource Center:
The site is home to the JD School of Designs’ top-notch library and design archives. These priceless reference resources give students the chance to contextualise their studies by learning from the history of fashion, interior design, jewellery, photography, graphics, and other related fields. The library of JD School of Design has more than 20,000 books, covering topics relating to every department.

Design Facilities

Fashion

You will have access to resources on all of our campuses if you enrol in one of the JDSD fashion design and technology courses that cover subjects like textile, draping, tailoring, contour, or pattern-cutting.

The Stitching Lab:
The stitching lab has 60+ sewing machines and is furnished with modern sewing machines that allow students to meet industry requirements and give them practical experience.

Draping Lab:
With more than 100 bodyforms in the fashion department, each student has access to learn on their own.

Pattern Making Lab:
Making patterns is a crucial component of design training. The Institute offers the resources necessary to provide students with the tools they need in order to master the subject.

Textile Lab:
On-campus technical equipment relating to fabric weight, drape test, yarn test, fibre test, dye test, abrasion test, chemical test, etc., as well as facilities for dying and printing, helps students enrolled in fashion design courses study textile design the proper method.

Jewellery facility

Jewellery Lab:
Aspiring jewellery designers are given access to on-site resources to create jewellery. Everything is accessible, including clasps, pliers, wires, crimping tools, wire cutters, jewellery stations etc.

Interior facility

Interior labs

Drafting studio:

Photography Studio:
The photography studio features mirrorless to DSLRs, high-end cameras, lights, and all photography equipment.

Makeup studio:
The makeup studio has the most up-to-date tools, equipment, infrastructure, and supplies for makeup and hair courses. Within the premises, you can find brands like Kryolan, MAC, Bobbi Brown, NYX, Nykka, and others.

Display Spaces and Gallery

The JD School of Design students’ path to the JD Design Awards is highlighted in the song “It’s A Work In Progress.” Nothing should be wasted: sketches, prototypes, and moments of inspiration will all be chronicled in this disorganised exhibition that tries to provide a window into the process of producing a work of art.

Computer Labs

JD School of Design offers an unparalleled selection of technical workshops and facilities for its programmes in fashion, interior design, jewellery, graphics, products, media, communication, and design.

CAD Lab:
Students have access to 2 specialised computer labs with the newest versions of the Adobe Suite (photoshop, illustrator), V-Ray, Gerber, Rhino, and 3D Studio Max. JDSD considers it important to provide students with all necessary technological expertise as part of the curriculum.

3 D Printing Lab

3 D Printing Lab
