Keshav Poddar a student from the MSc in Interior Design programme from JD School of Design in Bangalore has won Best Innovative Design at the JD Design Awards 2024 for his project, a cutting-edge gaming and animation studio where creative thinking in gaming and animation can shift to fast forward with the flawless integration of artificial intelligence coupled with human ingenuity.

This studio breaks all design moulds by providing an endless creative canvas. It therefore blurs the line between man and machine through holographic displays and workstations powered by AI, fostering seamless collaboration. It is where artists will be put right in the middle of their work with immersive pods equipped with haptic feedback suits, firsthand experiencing and manipulating in real-time. This implanting of creativity and productivity is not just a workspace but a portal into the future of gaming.

The Gaming and Animation Studio fits perfectly into the innovative design theme of the commercial space for a game centre. Materials involved in the project include sleek, translucent workstations, living walls, and natural light, balancing high-tech components with a placid atmosphere. Living walls also set up not only aesthetic appeal but also an atmosphere related to well-being for these young artists.
The design is central to holographic displays and haptic feedback pods in its blurring of the lines between reality and virtual creation. The mood board pulsates with futuristic energy, featuring sleek chrome workstations that contrast with vibrant living walls. It merges some science fiction concept art with images of bioluminescent landscapes, while glove prototypes with haptic feedback blend in with holographic display projections to hint at the types of immersive creative experiences the studio offers.
