Vanessa Chrissie Alvares is a student of BSc Fashion Design & Apparel Design. She created a collection called Siren Ebony that draws inspiration from the timeless fashion staple “The Little Black Dress (LBD)”.
The iconic Little Black Dress (LBD) served as the inspiration for the collection “Siren Ebony.” This collection presents a unique and futuristic interpretation by blending the worlds of fashion and technology to deliver garments that are both captivating and innovative. Siren Ebony is a fusion of fashion and technology, with each garment being alluring and powerful while embodying strength and beauty. This collection is a combination of the classic elegance of the Little Black Dress with the dynamic essence of technology. The collection features a motif resembling a printed circuit board. Portrayed as a fictional narrative, this collection reinvents the LBD, turning it into a radiant masterpiece where the intricate PCB patterns not only serve as designs but also illuminate, infusing life into the fabric itself. It’s a tribute to the interconnected relationship between fashion and technology. The collection caters to females within the age group of 21 to 30 years. The standout feature of the collection is its use of motifs from printed circuit boards (PCBs), the integral component found in every electronic device. Scuba Sandwich is the main fabric and Lachka & Chiffon is the secondary.
It is very wearable in the season of fall/winter and is very much to be worn for a formal or party. “Siren Ebony” serves as a tribute to the correlation between fashion and technology, presenting garments that captivate the eye with their allure and intrigue, embodying both mystery and might, just like the mythical sirens. This collection attracts with its mesmerising beauty, promising not just a style but even an experience. Just as these legendary beings possessed an irresistible charm, the garments within this collection captivated the eyes with enchanting beauty and allure, embodying a sense of mystery and might.
