Industry Immersion at Flames Store

Students of DFD July 2025 and BSc FAD 2024 visited Flames for an immersive interaction with designer Martino Caramia.The session offered valuable insights into brand building, creative decision-making, visual merchandising, and the balance between design vision and market viability. Students gained first-hand exposure to how fashion businesses operate, strengthening the connection between classroom concepts and real-world industry practice.

A hands-on clay modelling workshop hosted by Saba Shaikh for FAD 2025 and ID 2025 students was conducted as part of their Life Skills module.From experimentation to execution, students explored tactile creativity, patience, and playful expression transforming simple materials into imaginative creations while building essential creative confidence.

The DFD 2025 batch explored draping as a language of expression translating ideas into structure, movement, and silhouette.Through fluid fabrics and experimental forms, students deepened their understanding of garment construction. Faculty evaluations encouraged conceptual clarity, innovation, and technical refinement.

Converge 3.0 – Shiksha Udyogik Sangam

On 20th February 2026, JD School of Design proudly hosted Converge 3.0  an Academia–Industry Summit bringing together distinguished guests, industry leaders, and creative visionaries.The summit created a collaborative platform where innovation, integration, and impact converged to build Goa’s future-ready changemakers. Insightful conversations and meaningful exchanges reinforced the importance of bridging academia with industry.
