Shreya Girdhar’s journey as an interior designer started enthusiastically with a plan that worked out on the platform that she got at JD School of Design. As an alum of the B.Sc. in Interior Design and Decoration and holding up the 4th rank, she mentions that her time at JD School of Design will always be filled with appreciation. It was a period loaded with development, learning, and priceless examples that keep on forming her planned vocation of today.
Shreya’s most proud moment was when she attained the 4th rank in her batch from Bengaluru City University (BCU) and it wasn’t simply an approval of her persistent effort but a demonstration of the extraordinary training that she got at JD. The help and guidance from her teachers and mentors were genuinely important. They didn’t only impart information; they also gave her the certainty to push limits and investigate new plans of action. The active learning approach and openness to true ventures outfitted her with the useful abilities and certainty she expected to prevail in this field.
Past the Study Hall: Amazing Open Doors for Development
Shreya’s creativity did not get confined to the college study halls. She gives the entire credit for her successful development to the invaluable support and guidance that she received from her professors and mentors. She also mentioned, “They provided me with not only the knowledge but also the encouragement to push my boundaries and explore new avenues in design.” Also, the hands-on approach to learning and the exposure to real-world projects gave her the practical skills and confidence to excel in this field. She has also mentioned that “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities my college provided outside the classroom as well. Whether it was internships, workshops, or guest lectures by industry professionals, these experiences were instrumental in honing my skills and preparing me for the challenges ahead.”
An extremely important occasion: the JDDA Awards
One of the most important experiences that fundamentally influenced her planning process was participating in the renowned JD Design Awards. This exceptionally serious occasion pulled in gifted creators from around the world. As a young interior designer, the possibility of exhibiting her work on such a stage was both invigorating and overwhelming. In any case, with the unfaltering backing of her faculty, Ms. Shruthi, she felt enabled and good enough to go to take the test.
Her guide and teacher, Ms. Shruthi, played a crucial role all through the whole cycle, from choosing the most reasonable task to cleaning the last show. Her abundance of involvement and sharp eye for configuration were instrumental in refining her idea, reinforcing her planned reasoning, and raising the general nature of my accommodation. Her priceless input pushed Shreya to think fundamentally and inventively about each part of her plan. Ms. Shruthi’s useful analysis and unflinching consolation roused her to take a stab at greatness and push the limits of her imagination.
As the time drew closer, Ms. Shruthi, JD School of Design faculty, left no stone unturned to help Shreya, offering last-minute guidance, checking on show materials, and giving inspirational statements to quiet her nerves. At the point when herventure was perceived with renowned honour, the feeling of achievement was really satisfying. Yet, what made the experience significantly more significant was realizing that she had done right by her coach.
Proud alumna of the JD School of Design
The experience of taking part in JD Design Awards, with continuous support of JD faculty, was an extremely important part of her planning and execution process. It imparted to her that the significance of mentorship, constancy, and having confidence in oneself is a very important aspect. As a proud alumna of JD School of Design, she is focused on giving back to the establishment that has given her such an extent. Shreya, even today, has an involvement with JD through alumni events, mentorship programs and support.
