Kajal Kumari’s Sangam Utsav collection is a heartfelt ode to heritage, celebration, and storytelling. Inspired by Lord Ram’s homecoming to Ayodhya, this collection captures the spirit of Diwali—a moment of light, reflection, and connection.
The tale reimagines this old festival with a flair of the contemporary world: envisioning an Indian royal family receiving international visitors in the Festival of Lights.
Imagine Bridgerton adrift in the splendour of Jaipur, a stunning fusion of cultures, customs, and eternal beauty. Crafted for those beyond India’s borders who are drawn to its cultural narrative and creative spirit—individuals with a global outlook and financial independence, seeking meaning through cultural storytelling and artisanal touch. Sangam Utsav combines tradition with modern sensibilities. Indo-Western silhouettes are what they are—trendy enough and easy to represent cultural sensation. Subtle ornamentation of zari, delicate thread work, mirror work, and sequins imparts a subtle sheen, just sufficient to enhance the Diwali lights without dominating the appearance.
The colour palette is sophisticated and understated—deep maroon, rust red, oxblood brown, and cream lay a foundation of warmth and richness, while off-white offer quiet grace. Gold embroidery glimmers like tradition reborn, all conveying a sense of subtle luxury. With men’s and women’s ensembles, the collection achieves balance between form and drape, poise and comfort.
