Solah Shringar by Dhanlakshmi Sharma

Dhanlakshmi Sharma’s collection, Solah Shringar – From Sacred to Styled, is a bold reinterpretation of age-old Indian beauty rituals for the modern woman. Drawing from the rich symbolism of the sixteen traditional adornments—each representing grace, femininity, and sacred identity—the collection transforms these cultural elements into contemporary fashion statements.

With an Indo-Western design approach, the line merges traditional textiles like Banarasi jacquard, georgette, and crepe silk with minimal tailoring and global silhouettes. Garments are infused with fluid drapes, regal layering, and intricate embellishments that reinterpret adornments like bangles, bindis, and payals into wearable motifs.
Targeted at women aged 20–30, this collection resonates with those who embrace cultural roots but express them with individuality and edge. The colour palette evokes the spirit of Indian festivities—vibrant reds, golds, greens, and pinks—while modern cuts challenge conventional bridal and festive wear.

Solah Shringar is not just a homage to heritage; it is a celebration of how tradition evolves. It speaks to the confident, fashion-forward Indian woman who wears her identity with pride and reinvents ritual as a personal statement. Through every garment, Dhanlakshmi Sharma reminds us that style can be both sacred and rebellious.
