The ECHOTERRA Domes by Kavya Patel
BSc in Interior Design
The ECHOTERRA Domes are a total game-changer in the spa world, and that’s something in a land overflowing with “zen” waterfalls and cucumber water. Nestled out in Doddaballapur, just outside Bengaluru—it’s the sort of place where you’d expect a low-key retreat, not a full-on sensory explosion—this spa pretty much flips the script on what you think of as relaxation.

This whole concept sprouted from Kavya Patel’s brain. Forget your phone, forget your overflowing inbox, and step into these wild domes that are split into four “nature” zones: Forest, Desert, Snow, and Sky. Each one has its own vibe. Forest is earthy goodness, leafy walls, trickling water, the whole Green Goddess aesthetic. The desert’s got the heat cranked, sandy tones, and a quiet that makes you feel like you’re meditating inside a sunbeam. The Snow Zone hits you with chill, think cryotherapy and frosty shine, perfect for that “wake up and feel alive” slap. The sky zone’s airy with lots of soft blue light, gentle puffs of steam, making it super dreamy.

The architectural twist: the Forest and Sky are tucked into a see-through geodesic dome. Loads of light—total biophilic nature stuff. Meanwhile, the Desert and Snow hang out in a massive, cocoon-like monolith. No distractions—just you, your senses, and your thoughts quietly dissolving in the corner.
Echoterra isn’t just about some trendy new spa treatments or a fun place to snag a selfie. It’s about ritual. To pause. To just exist for a second. The design is smooth and seamless in a way that makes you forget what’s going on outside. We could all use a bit of less grind, more grounding. Kavya’s Echoterra Domes spin together environment, vibe, and a dash of sci-fi magic, reminding us that sometimes, you gotta stop rushing everywhere and breathe.
