A design student will be endowed with more than knowledge of how to design as he will be taught how to create designs. Contemporary methods including professional jewellery CAD design are commonly used in courses so you are able to achieve detailed concept sketches.  Why Jewellery Design Course   If one is just getting into this line of work, then a good start would be a beginner’s jewellery design course. A jewellery CAD design course will educate a candidate on how to use computer-aided design or CAD when designing jewellery. This skill is especially important for those who plan to work as practising designers, as the result can be instantly transferred to clients and manufacturers.  Career Prospects and Opportunities   The jewellery industry is rather vast and allows those interested to find jobs and positions suited to them. It is a profession whether you want to be a designer, a jeweller or even a jewellery consultant, the formal education plays a huge role in countrising your career. Compared to other professions, it requires creativity and professional and technical abilities that enhance the spaces while fulfilling the client’s requirements and tastes. As a beginner or, perhaps, considering a career upgrade, it is important to achieve success in the right manner. Today there are many skills needed for interior designer should possess and learn to survive this very competitive world of interior design.   Colours & Mastering the Art of Colour Theory  Of all the essential elements, or what some may call the architectural base, colour theory in interior design is one area in which every budding interior designer must design themselves. As a part of it, colour schemes, relations between colours, and such aspects as the effect of colour on mood and interaction between different colours to achieve the desired look and feel of the interior are taken into consideration.  Understanding Colour Psychology  Colours impact feelings and sleek/rough is a proportional transaction of hard and soft, dark and light. For example, blue hue is related to tranquility; red – to passion and energy. An important skill in the job of an interior designer is the knowledge of how to use colours: this can either make or break the design.  Proper colouring of a space can help develop a unified feel and a nice circulation within the selected area. For any natural world or man-made object, there is a specific matching colour which, when combined in a particular room, gives a proportionate balance of a room.  CAD skills development for precision.  Of course, in the present age dominated by the use of technologies in interior designing, it is not possible to overlook Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills needed for interior designer. CAD enables you to give detailed and precise floor plans, models, and visualization of the design before the construction process starts.  Why CAD Skills Matter  Knowledge of CAD aids in presenting proposals and concepts to clients, contractors, and other users professionally. They also permit accurate dimensions and proportions to be taken as well as scaled, so that apart from the designs being visually attractive, they are also workable.  Learning Advanced CAD Techniques  Skills for top interior decorators are necessary to master not only the shortest ways within the framework of the CAD system but also to look at the development of new methods. This also includes the ability to design complicated 3D models, lighting design using CAD and how to include sustainable design principles in your designs.   The Effective Qualities of Interior Design  Other than the specific trade knowledge, some attributes of Interior design skills for professionals push them ahead in the market. Such characteristics are crucial to fostering good relations with the customers and for the accomplishment of the tasks in the right spirit.  Creativity and Innovation  The interior design looks at ways of dressing a space artistically. What will set you apart from the rest of the interior designers, is the fact that to solve so many of the problems implicated in design, one is required to out-of-the-box thinking. Getting the right feel for the fabric used on furniture surfaces for instance, or being able to refurbish furniture from scratch, requires creativity.  Attention to Detail  These are the two reasons why interior design is a significantly detailed discipline. Choose a proper kind of light, to make sure that everything in the room corresponds to the chosen theme – that is where the value of professionalism lies.  Strong Communication Skills  Interior designers interact with clients, original contractors and various suppliers most of the time. Communication plays an important role in understanding the client’s need, to be able to pass your ideas and make sure that all the parties involved are in consensus.  Interior design skills for professionals That is why the journey to attaining the status of the best interior designer involves not only education but more training. Professional interior design skills, therefore, are not environmentally invariant but change with trends and technologies as well as with the dynamics of clients’ demands.  Ways of Staying Up to Date with New Trends   Like in any other profession, there are changes in styles, colour and furniture almost every time. In order not to lag behind the competitors, the corresponding trends should be observed and be used in the work wherever possible. Some of this might entail playing around with new materials, adopting the art of simplicity, or even embedding in-home automation technology in your concepts.  Enhancing Project Management Skills  When advancing in your career, chances are that you will be able to design and develop more extensive work. Technical skills are important to maintain projects in this manner and to have control over them, their funds, and time restraints. This, of course, covers right from arranging with contractors to supervising the addition of design features.  Building a Strong Portfolio  A portfolio is the best marketing strategy for any interior designer as it sells them without them having to do it. It speaks for your capability, preferences, and the variety of work you can handle to gain a prospective client’s trust. Another rule which is also a no-brainer is the need to update your portfolios with your best work if you are to get new clients for your business, or to make the necessary progress in your career.   It is equally important to be able to understand the concept behind the functions

The display by the students of batch BSc interior design and decorations, 2023 of JD School of Design’s LIGHT WORKSHOP delved deep into the intricate role of light and impacted design on functional and aesthetic levels-from the basics to the latest innovations.  The Opening Section: Knowing the Basics of Light The workshop starts by introducing the origins of light—natural and artificial. It creates an eye-catching presentation about how light travels from the sun’s rays to man-made bulbs. The section deals with the science surrounding light, which involves the behaviour of light as it travels and bounces off surfaces, producing shadows, reflections, and refractions. Through the interactive components-diagrams and showcases- participants get to understand in a better way the technical aspects of light, hence, forming a sound basis for its use in design. Role of Light in Interior Design Light has the potential to change any atmosphere in a room. The second half of the exhibit now dwells on how light affects interior design. By manning the beam of light, the designer can create and stipulate the environment, which gives a corresponding mood or enhancement in functionality. Examples of the workshop include the dramatic theatrical lighting, the warmness of home interiors, and the bright energizing lights used at workspaces. There is a tremendous thrust on layering the light and how to achieve well-balanced engaging spaces with ambient, task, and accent lighting. This chapter demonstrates just how lighting can easily make the most ordinary of spaces truly special.  Eco-Light Design It’s a sustainable world, and therefore no one is left behind designs to even simple lights. The workshop places itself under the banner of offering eco-lighting technologies, such as LED and solar-powered solutions, which reduce energy consumption and carbon footprints. Other than the environmental benefits, they also have sleek modern aesthetics that add to the beauty of the space. On show are demonstrations of sustainable lighting that can be balanced between energy efficiency and artistic vision, and prove that good design need not be at the expense of the planet. The Cultural and Artistic Significance of Light Light has been culturally and artistically significant for years. From ancient rituals celebrating light and air to art installations today, the role that light plays in art is immeasurable. This workshop shows how light has been used to make simple actions into powerful visual experiences in photography, art, and architecture. Art history and modern design examples from around the world show how light makes people feel, tells stories, and is a medium for creative expression. This section leaves visitors with a sense of wonder at the artistic potential of light. Hands-on, Interactive Learning The participation stations in LIGHT WORKSHOP are an attraction, where visitors can experiment with the kinds of light and see the effects for themselves. Through touchscreens, physical models, and real-life configurations, participants can get into the details of light thus developing a better understanding by the hands-on method. Visitors can view the true power of light whether by adjusting for brightness, changing its colour, or layering it. The LIGHT WORKSHOP by the students batch BSc interior design and decorations, 2023 JD School of Design is more than an educational presentation is an invitation to play with light in ways never before imagined. Delving into scientific principles, relating them culturally, and discovering sustainable innovations gives the visitor exposure to the profound experience of how the world around us will be moulded by light. Whichever category one might fall into designer, an aspiring artist, or just one who is curious workshop provides a unique, illuminating experience in inspiring creativity and awareness of light’s incredible potential.

It’s not just a city for IT and history but an artery of culture and art. Our students of JD School of Design recently visited the vibrant new city, which was rich in experience, filled with learning, exploration, and tons of fun. From the forward-looking IGBC Green Business Centre to the majestic Golkonda Fort and the vivacious streets of Charminar, every moment felt as if it was as educational as it was thrilling. Green Architecture and Cultural Craft IGBC Green Business Centre Our tour began in the IGBC (Indian Green Building Council) Green Business Centre, which was our first exposure to all the grandeur of green architecture. Walking into this eco-friendly marvel, one of the world’s greenest buildings, we opened our eyes to the beauty of it all. The center is a testament to what could be when technology and environmental responsibility come together. The latest trends in green buildings, as exhibited through interactive exhibits, really carried away the students. AR Ayesha, an expert on sustainable design, spoke to the children to inspire the youngsters on how one can work towards placing these eco-friendly practices into his/her future project. It was indeed a day of knowledge, because all the attendees left with certificates in their hands signed by Mr. M. Anand, acknowledging their commitment to understanding sustainability. That experience left us most in awe of what was happening right at that crucible of design and environmental consciousness. Lest one thought there was so much more to learning than imagination and figuring out how to create a better, greener future. Shilparamam: The Festival of Indian Crafts End Our second destination was Shilparamam, a cultural village that settled amidst 65 acres of art and craftsmanship. The timing couldn’t have been more apt because the village came alive in the spirit of Navratri; it seemed as though we had stepped into a world where tradition and art reside side by side. The vibrancy of the folk festival that was witnessed on display reflected beautifully diverse Indian culture in traditional dance performances, craft exhibitions, and stalls selling beautiful handcrafted goods. Indeed, it was a tremendous eye-opener for students. The intricate textiles, wooden carvings, and handmade crafts were no longer mere products but stories of heritage passed down from generations. Dealing with the artisans helped to provide a deeper understanding of the traditional design technique while closing the gap created by age-old craftsmanship and modern design thinking. A colourful, practical lesson in art, culture, and sustainability. Hyderabad’s Historical Marvels Golkonda Fort: The Acoustic Wonder The very second day took us deep into history with a visit to the legendary Golkonda Fort. Spread over a sprawling 120-acre site, the sheer scale of the fort left us speechless. Once the capital of the Golconda Sultanate, it stands as today, an emblem of Hyderabad’s brilliant past. Students explored vast stone walls, ancient gateways, and palaces; but what amazed me was the acoustics there. The architecture was so designed that the clap given at the entrance could be heard at the top of it. So we experimented with this acoustic phenomenon, and the students were amazed at how practical the ancient architecture was. Thus, an excellent lesson learned is that often science and history intertwine even in the most unexpected ways. Charminar: Hyderabad’s Jewel End The Imagination Journey to Hyderabad was never truly complete without a visit to the iconic Charminar. This fourteen-century monument, built in 1591, is still a time-tested symbol of the city. The symmetry of the arches, minute details, and grand scale of the monument provided an interesting glimpse into Indo-Islamic architecture. For the students, this was a visit to study principles of scale, symmetry, and proportion. It was the busy market around Charminar that made this visit rich. From traditional crafts to local street food, this market is a sensory overload. Wandering up and down the narrow lanes, indulging in vibrant culture with discussions on how local craftsmanship is influencing modern design. Design Democracy 2024: A Platform for Innovation What I enjoyed the most during the whole trip was attending the Design Democracy 2024. This event took place in an enormous area of 50,000 square feet and was a huge creative and innovative platform. People such as designers, architects, and students came here to show their ideas and projects and collaborate with each other. This was a great platform for our students to get a hot opportunity to get in touch with industry leaders, discuss their work, and be valued by feedback from such experienced professionals. It was more an affair that stretched beyond the confinement of being an event and was a platform for young minds to expand into new horizons and think of the design that could open up the future. The exposure to new materials, philosophies, and innovative ways is something that leaves everyone inspired and motivated. An Imagination Journey of Learning and Memories This imaginary journey to Hyderabad has been equally great – a mix of fun and learning. We had IGBC Green Business Centre, where we learned about sustainability, and Golkonda Fort and Charminar, which are historical landmarks. Each day was a discovery, full of excitement. Interaction with artisans at Shilparamam and participation in Design Democracy 2024 presented a perfect opportunity to learn outside the classroom walls, within a melting pot of history, culture, and innovation. The trip was more special because of the shared experience—laughing together, learning together, and creating memories that

The events began with the story telling of the importance of the festival and the richness of the rituals associated with it. A soothing Saraswati Puja was conducted to invoke the blessings of wisdom and creativity. The audience were treated with a very enjoyable and spirited performance of group dance that set the stage for a great Garba night.
