Sayoni Guha’s Corallure is a half-avant-garde womenswear line that plumbs the emotional and ecological depths of coral reefs. Inspired by one of the planet’s most delicate ecosystems, the collection encounters the topic “Pause” as an act of stillness and wakefulness, both individual and planetary.

Inspired by the vibrant biodiversity and structural beauty of coral reefs, Corallure uses asymmetrical silhouettes, flowing layering, and tactual embellishments—metal mesh, pleats, beads, and felted 3D motifs—to duplicate the underwater textures. It is a wearable testimony to strength, vulnerability, and transformation.

The fabrics—satin cotton and foreign multi-coloured weaves—mimic the reflective skin and hues of marine animals. Each wear and tear mimics coral’s jagged contours with marine vegetables and animals accentuated in pieces of art, half-sculptural pieces.

Aimed at women aged between 20 and 35 who value creativity and sustainability, Corallure dissolves the gap between fashion and activism. It evokes a sense of awareness regarding the protection of coral reefs and calls for a pause, not just in the decay of the sea, but in how we engage and use nature.

More than a collection, Corallure is a conversation in images between the underground worlds of Earth and human feeling—those fluid, delicate, spectacularly beautiful things.
