Inspinity by Sai Darshan K
BSc in Interior Design
In a world of fragmented attention and overstimulation as the norm, Inspinity—designed by Sai Darshan K, the winner of the Next-Gen Design Award, is a bold redefinition of entertainment spaces. This innovative, dome-shaped auditorium breaks away from traditional storytelling as a purely immersive, multi-sensory experience.

At the heart of Inspinity is a motorized, rotating audience platform that glides audiences from 180-degree performance spaces. Inspired by observatories, kinetic architecture, and immersive theatre, this design does not just tell you a story—it takes you through it, body and soul. The dome itself, evoking ancient temples and contemporary planetariums, is used as a canvas for IMAX projections, surrounding the audience in a sensory cocoon of light, sound, and movement.

But Inspinity is a spectacle, too—it’s a pause. The building provides more than respite from the mundane; it provides a reset of transformation. The fluid slide of the turntable is a meditative move, choreographed to change point of view without disorientation. The embracing curve of the dome soothes the senses, providing a refuge from the angular madness of everyday life. Even within dynamic storytelling, the design makes room for contemplation and peace.
By merging technology, theater, and space, Inspinity encourages people not to simply watch a narrative, but live it, too. It’s an environment where pause is not stagnation—it’s change, contemplation, and immersion.
