December was a vibrant month at JD School of Design, powered by JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Goa. Our students were engaged in a variety of exciting activities that fostered creativity, sustainability, and community bonding.

Spreading Smiles and Learning Compassion

Our students visited Novi Survat, Goa, filling the day with color and laughter. They began with creative activities for children, spreading smiles and learning the true meaning of compassion and inclusivity. This visit was a valuable experience for our students, teaching them the importance of giving back to the community.

India Skills Competition 2025: Showcasing Excellence

JD School of Design proudly hosted the State Level India Skills Competition 2025, a platform where young innovators showcased their skills and aligned their craft with global standards. This competition provided our students with a unique opportunity to demonstrate their talents and learn from industry experts.

Glow Garden: Blending Nature, Sustainability, and Innovation

Our students created a stunning Glow Garden, bringing together landscaping, creativity, and sustainable lighting design. This workshop blended nature, sustainability, and innovation, creating a garden that truly glowed.

Exploring Contemporary Art and Design

Our Diploma Fashion Design students visited Sunaparanta Centre for the Arts, Panjim, where they explored the curated exhibition “Makers and Materials”. The visit helped students observe how contemporary artworks are displayed, experienced, and contextualized within a gallery space.

Interior Design: Purpose, Legacy, and Thoughtful Innovation

At JD School of Design, interior design goes beyond aesthetics. It’s about purpose, legacy, and thoughtful innovation. Our interior design programs are rooted in design thinking, craftsmanship, and real-world application, shaping professionals who create spaces built to last for generations.

Serendipity Art Festival 2025: An Immersive Experience

Our fashion and interior design students explored the Serendipity Art Festival 2025, Panjim. The visit offered an immersive experience of contemporary art and design, highlighting curatorial practices, material exploration, and how public institutional spaces can transform into vibrant exhibition sites.

Fashion Styling: Rooted in Place

Our DFD 2025 students learned how locations speak through color, texture, light, and history, and how garments can respond, blend, or stand out within these narratives. This exploration of fashion styling was a valuable experience for our students, teaching them how to create garments that are rooted in place and culture.
