BSc IDD 2024 – Space Design Display

November‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ 2026 Highlights from JD School of Design 4The month’s highlight that grabbed the most attention was the Space Design Display by the B.Sc. IDD 2024 batch. The exhibition was a feast for the eyes with the students’ profound knowledge in spatial planning and design development. The visitors were engaged in a deep and rich narrative of design evolution through well-prepared, manually drafted sheets, digital layouts, and detailed miniature models that explained how a space moves from an idea to a fully conceptualised environment.

During the module, students had to follow the complete design workflow, and they did so by indulging in road mapping, activity mapping, site analysis, literature reviews, and case studies. These research-driven pathways enabled them to develop cohesive spatial strategies, which they represented through bubble diagrams, zoning methods, and visual planning tools. Their work further got refined into detailed floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, and sectional drawings, showing both their technical skills and creative clarity.
