Her journey into the world of interior design began in 2020, when she joined the course of BSc Interior Design and Decoration at the JD School of Design and completed it while holding on to the 6th rank. 

Her experience at JD School of Design has been a whirlwind of exploration, learning and creative expression from the very beginning.

Kashish’s fascination with interior design comes from a deep appreciation for the ability of spaces to evoke emotions and inspire experiences. That fascination grew into a career search that led her to the prestigious J.D. School of Design. The institute’s renowned and well-trained faculty, innovative curriculum and hands-on approach were able to meet Kashish’s desire to learn and create.

Her three years at JD School of Design were a time of tremendous growth in both learning and career aspects. From the basics of design theory to technical skills honed in practical projects, every moment was a springboard to unleash one’s creative potential. A collaborative environment and guidance from experienced professionals fostered a habit of exploring and continuous learning in her. The recognition of her achievements was an enormous source of pride and a testament to her dedication.

Equipping with Skills for the Design Industry

JD School of Design has equipped Kashish with the multifaceted skills that form the backbone of any successful interior designer. From conceptualization and space planning to material selection and project management, Kashish’s training has given her the tools to navigate the complexities of the design industry and bring her vision to life. 

The most important experience that significantly shaped Kashish’s design journey was the JD Design Awards. From collaborating with respected faculty to participating in engaging workshops and having a go at real-world projects, each element pushed her to explore new opportunities and expand her creative horizons.

Her project for the JD Design Awards was DHARA, a tribute to the famous jeweller Hansraj Kothar. This project allowed Kashish to experiment with design elements and demonstrate her remarkable ability to transform spaces into immersive environments that resonate with people on a deeper level. “DHARA” wasn’t just about aesthetics,” explains Kashish, “it was about capturing the essence of Mr. Kothari’s legacy and creating a space that reflected her passion for jewellery and dedication to craftsmanship.”

The Future of Design: Sustainability and Social Impact

Looking at the future of design, Kashish emphasises the growing importance of sustainability and social impact. “I believe that good design should not only be beautiful but also environmentally friendly and foster a positive community,” she implies. Kashish wants to explore sustainable materials, energy-efficient solutions and environmentally friendly design concepts that promote the well-being of our surroundings.

Currently, Kashish is honing her skills and actively seeking new opportunities for growth and dynamic innovations in the field of interior design.
