March 2025 was a motivational month for JD School of Design students, with workshops and seminars that exposed them to new avenues of learning and also sharpened their imagination. From learning about VFX and animation to design competitions and live rendering processes, the month had all that, as long as learning practicalities, industry interface, and imagination development to newer heights was the concern. Here are some of the best highlights and moments of the month:

MnR Decor Workshop: Building the Future

The MnR Decor Workshop was a grand opportunity for JD School of Design students to discover the world of design contests. As per expert views, the workshop provided students with a taste of the nitty-gritties of design contests and provided a live experience of winning design contests. It was an eye-opener that brought students from theory and on the path towards the understanding of the actual practicalities of design contest wins.

VFX Master Class: Teaser for Unreal Engine

On March 18th, there was a master class demonstration of Unreal Engine for students of VFX and animation. Conducted by industry experts Mr. Kondal Rao (FX Artist) and Mr. Rohith Kumar (Compositor Artist, Pixelloid Studios), the event guided students into the revolutionary landscape of VFX in Unreal Engine. The workshop also brushed upon the new trends and methods which are transforming the world of VFX and, in the process, also provided insightful hints to the students regarding how they can integrate Unreal Engine into their creative workflow.

Enscape Workshop: Beyond Design Visualization

Design students were amazed at the Enscape Workshop. Enscape is a real-time rendering and virtual reality software via which designers can create 3D experiences and renderable-looking images in real time. The workshop introduced JD School of Design students to this software so that they would be able to present their design projects in colour and in interactive presentation modes.

The Assertive Teacher: Inspire, Influence, Impact, by Siddhi

JD School of Design teachers were equipped with experiential know-how and skills to be effective communicators at Siddhi Jain’s workshop “The Assertive Teacher: Inspire, Influence, Impact”. With a focus on building confidence, maintaining authority while being approachable, and class dynamics management, the workshop gave teachers wonderful tips to establish a good and collaborative classroom atmosphere.

GAFX 2025: Animation, VFX, and Gaming Hub

GAFX 2025 in Bengaluru was a class experience for JD School of Design’s animation, VFX, and gaming specialisation students. Organized by the Government of Karnataka as a commissioned event, the event had the world’s best professionals in the industry. Students may be incorporated into panel discussions, live competitions, and interaction with the best studios, being exposed to the latest trends and technology in animation and VFX firsthand. For the students, it was an educational session on networking, where they could highlight their skill set and get introduced to the creative industries of the future.

Adobe Make It Summit 2025: What’s Next for Creative Tech

Adobe Make It Summit 2025 at JW Marriott Bangalore pre-viewed to the audience, including JD School of Design students, the future of creative technology on March 6th. Industry experts and students were encouraged to experiment with the newest breakthroughs of Adobe, including their latest Generative AI features like Adobe Firefly, which are revolutionizing content creation. The summit also featured company workshops with professionals from organizations such as Swiggy, Intel, and Accenture, where the students had hands-on learning experience with the new design tools, as well as an opportunity to interact with other professionals from the creative tech industry.

Industry Connect: Bridging the Gap between Academia and the Real World

JD School of Design’s third-year interior design students were fortunate to be offered the “Industry Connect” session, where they were introduced to the interior design world. Through the collaboration with AITI Interieurs, the session exposed the students to industry trends, necessary partnerships, and the expertise to thrive in today’s market place. The conference was an eye-opener for the students to know how they could correlate study and application in the real world and what one has to learn and acquire in terms of materials to excel in their profession.

March 2025 was learning, creativity, and innovation month for students and learners at JD School of Design. These seminars and workshops created an environment of continuous learning that forced students to be as up-to-date as possible when it came to trends in the industry and to update their skills continuously as they established their careers.
