Programme Overview
The programme introduces the student to the fundamentals of jewellery design and enables them to build their own concepts for a piece of jewellery. The curriculum investigates jewelry’s place in current society and its cultural and historical relevance using an experimental and exploratory approach. The pedagogy teaches students to be intentional and passionate about their projects to become inventive jewellery designers.
The BSc. in Jewellery Design degree covers many areas of the jewelry-making industry and enables for the discovery and extension of new shapes, mediums, and techniques. The knowledge one gains exposes them to classic materials and procedures as well as experimental alternatives like working with iridescent panels or casting ideas in concrete or fibreglass.
The programme educates entrepreneurs by teaching them industry-specific marketing and management strategies.

Program Objective
- The BSc in Jewelry Design gives students with an awareness of the numerous technical aspects necessary to create intricate exquisite jewellery.Through this course, students obtain functional understanding of various types of jewelry-designing materials and compositions.
- In addition to learning fundamentals, students will acquire abilities in using tools and equipment, such as welding machines, saws, etc.
- They will be able to detect numerous market trends pertaining to the design of small and large-scale jewellery, comprehend new technologies associated with the area, and be analytical about their ideas, which they will be able to modify and refine accordingly.
- The lesson concludes by revealing novel, never-before-applied drafting approaches.
- Introduce students to the fundamental techniques of jewellery design, including both conventional and inventive approaches.
- Provide in-depth knowledge of the numerous fields involved, from history to current trends, as well as facts and theories on metals, metal textures, and gemstones.
- Permit students to confidently develop 2D jewellery forms and transform them into 3D products.
